Designed to create a structure which is adaptable to the most diverse locations and uses, the Plain Bookcase System by Francesco Rota is an object of light and refined beauty.
Plain is formed from a steel tubular structure which accommodates shelves of various thicknesses and lengths. High-strength, invisible TIG welded joins hold the white or black lacquered frame together, and two or more units can be combined to create a multitude of configurations. And because Plain is freestanding, the frames can be positioned against walls, in corners or centrally for an elegant room divider.
With Plain, customisation really is the key. Its shelves come in a variety of sizes, finishes and even thicknesses. Available in either 15mm or 35mm thick and seven different lengths, the shelves can be finished in a Lemacolourtrend matt lacquer or, in the case of the thick shelf, a Moka Larch melamine too. All sit tightly in position on the study frames, but can be moved around freely at will.
