At Rogerseller, we have been proud partners of renowned Italian tapware brand, Fantini, for many years. Fantini, based on the bank of the magnificent Lake Orta, is a family-run business and has maintained its family values for over 70 years. One key value that the brand is constantly supporting and developing, is its commitment to sustainability. Sustainability is important to protect not only the environment but the long-term health and wellbeing of all individuals on the planet. Our exclusive partnership with Fantini ensures we can bring their high-quality, sustainability-driven products to Australia. Below we explore some of the sustainability efforts made by Fantini.
100 Fontane Fantini for Africa
“In 2012 we launched the 100 Fontane Fantini For Africa project, a project whose underlying theme is water, so vital to us all but seen from a different point of view to our usual one: the dramatic absence of clean water and the tragic consequences this has on everyday life.”
- Daniela Fantini, CEO.
Burundi is one of the poorest countries in the world and is located in the heart of Africa. In 2012, Fantini began the 'Fantini for Africa' project, which has brought clean drinking water to 25,000 people in Masango, a region in Burundi. 12 collection wells, 27km of aqueducts and 100 water outlets provide portable, clean drinking water at a maximum distance of only ten minutes from the villages.
Often a task given to the children of the village, collecting water is now much easier and less time consuming than before, affording them the opportunity to go to school or just play, like children should. The ‘100 Fontane Fantini For Africa’ project guarantees a brighter future for the country and was made possible thanks to economic contribution of Fantini’s customers and agents, obtained through the sales of the re-styled “Il Balocchi” collection and generous donations of individuals.
Fantini has been stringent in not only making sustainable and conscious efforts for the environment, but also in protecting the health and wellbeing of their consumers. Australian standards allow for a much higher amount of lead in plumbing fixtures compared to Europe and the United States, with the current standard being 4.5% under the National Construction Code. Fantini safeguard consumer health by ensuring all their products are certified lead-free and contain less than 0.25% of lead.
Stainless steel is a popular Fantini finish and can be seen across their Nostromo, Mint and Milano collections, to name a few. Stainless steel does not only deliver an aesthetically pleasing finish, but it is also incredibly long-lasting, resistant to corrosion and durable. This ensures consumers can get maximum use out of their stainless steel bathroom or kitchen products and do not need to regularly install replacement taps with high carbon footprints. Stainless steel is also recyclable, so should a property owner decide to remodel their kitchen or bathroom, they can re-purpose or dispose of their Fantini stainless steel product in an eco-friendly way.
